Firescape Selected as Finalist for PG&E's 2025 Pitch Fest

Firescape is selected from over 400 applicants to be one of 57 companies presenting at PG&E's PitchFest

September 23–25, 2025

On September 23-25th, 2025 Firescape was a finalist for Pacific Gas and Electric Company's (PG&E) 2025 Pitch Fest, presenting at PG&E's Oakland headquarters.

Chosen from a competitive pool of more than 400 applicants, Firescape joined 56 other energy and climate tech innovators in presenting breakthrough solutions aimed at addressing California's most pressing energy and climate challenges, including wildfire resilience, grid modernization, and electrification.

"We're honored by the opportunity to present at PG&E's Pitch Fest and excited to share how our models address faster decision-making around Public Safety Power Shutoff events and present on our approach to urban conflagration modeling," said Dr. Holly Eagleston, Founder and CEO of Firescape.

Firescape was selected to present in the Wildfire & Forest Management track addressing two challenges: 1) Automating Public Safety Power Shutoff events to improve safety and decrease customer impact, and 2) Enhancing fire spread modeling to address increasing urban conflagration risk. The company's platform uses satellite imagery, weather data, wildfire spread modeling and AI to predict protection settings to prevent ignitions from occurring along the power grid.

"Pitch Fest is one of the most impactful ways we connect with the energy and climate tech ecosystem," said Mike Delaney, Vice President, Utility Partnerships and Innovation, PG&E. "We're excited to accelerate solutions that can make our grid safer, more sustainable, and more affordable — and we're energized by the creativity and commitment of this year's presenters."

PG&E's Pitch Fest is a cornerstone of its innovation strategy, with up to $25 million in funding available to support the development and integration of promising technologies. Finalists have the opportunity to co-develop projects with PG&E, moving quickly from concept to real-world deployment.
